Marc Marquez was in the spotlight on Day 2 of the Buriram Test. The now factory Ducati rider had a time of 1:28.588 and was the only rider to break into the 1:28s. While still adjusting to his new team, Marquez's performance set the tone for what promises to be an exciting season. Francesco Bagnaia, meanwhile, secured fifth place in the test.

Ducati has made an important decision about their bike development. Team manager Davide Tardozzi confirmed that for the opening round, only the electronics and suspension will have an upgrade. The engine, chassis, and aerodynamics will remain unchanged. This means that Ducati's engine is now officially locked in until the end of 2026.

The GP24 bike, already looking difficult to improve, saw Alex Marquez taking second place again. The younger brother continued to impress, proving his determination. Franco Morbidelli also put in a solid performance, as he finished seventh.

Marco Bezzecchi was Aprilia's standout rider, as he finished third overall. He had a time of 1:29.060 and was marked as the biggest improvement among the factories. Even his Sprint simulation was very impressive, raising hopes for a strong season ahead.

Aprilia test rider Lorenzo Savadori helped to gather data, while Raul Fernandez, still recovering from his Sepang crash, made good progress and finished 13th.

Pedro Acosta delivered the fastest time for KTM, as he clocked in at 1:29.133 and finished behind Bezzecchi in fourth. Acosta now seems to be better than his teammate Brad Binder, who finished 12th, but Binder himself admitted he had more time to find.

Maverick Viñales showed progress in Red Bull KTM Tech3, as he broke into the top ten. Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini is still searching for improvement. As it goes with KTM, their real potential will not be fully clear until the first race.

After Yamaha made waves in Sepang, it was Honda's turn to shine in Buriram. Joan Mir secured sixth place and was Honda's fastest rider. Most importantly, his Sprint simulation put him in competition with Aprilia and KTM.

Luca Marini finished 14th, while Johann Zarco ended up in 16th.

Yamaha showed some big progress in Sepang, but as Fabio Quartararo predicted, Buriram was a tougher challenge for them. Quartararo finished eighth, but unlike Honda, Yamaha hadn't tested at the circuit beforehand. Jack Miller rounded out the top ten, while Miguel Oliveira struggled in 18th, just behind Alex Rins in 17th.
