Red Bull

Max Verstappen (contract till the end of 2028 season)

After winning his first world champion title with Red Bull in 2021, Verstappen signed a massive six-year contract extension. By the time 2025 arrives, he will only be halfway through it. The Dutchman is fully commited to Red Bull and brushed aside every speculation that he might join Mercedes in 2025.

Sergio Perez (contract till the end of 2026 season)

Perez signed a new 2-year contract extension with Red Bull earlier this year. Despite his disappointing results this season and some rumors that Red Bull might fire him, the team confirmed before the summer break, that Perez will continue working with them according to his contract for now.

McLaren

Lando Norris (“multi-year contract extension” beyond 2025 season)

Norris signed a long-term contract extension with McLaren in early 2022, keeping him with the team past 2025 and basically blocking any interest from other F1 teams.

Oscar Piastri (contract till the end of 2026 season)

Piastri signed a new contract with McLaren before finishing his debut season in 2023, extending his partnership with the team until the end of 2026 after a very impressive rookie season. McLaren is very happy about securing Piastri in 2023 as he was rumoured to go to Alpine because he was part of their academy in Formula 2.

Mercedes

George Russel (contract till the end of 2025 season)

Mercedes confirmed earlier this year that Russell and Hamilton will continue with the team in 2025, however, later on, Hamilton signed with Ferrari and left everyone speechless.

TBA

The second Mercedes driver for 2025 should be announced very soon, according to the team.

Ferrari

Charles Leclerc (contract for “several more seasons” beyond 2025 season)

It is sure that Leclerc is sticking with his dream team for the 2025 season. However, there is no specific information about Leclerc’s contract length.

Lewis Hamilton (“multi-year deal”)

Hamilton made a sensational switch from Mercedes to Ferrari before the 2024 season even had the chance to start and left many fans and the whole paddock speechless. According to him, he is still fully commited to Mercedes in 2024 but excited to start working with Ferrari in 2025.

Aston Martin

Fernando Alonso (“multi-year deal” till at least the end of 2026 season)

Alonso signed a multi-year deal with Aston Martin earlier this year and once again secured his position as the oldest driver on the grid, who is still hungry for podiums and race wins.

Lance Stroll (contract for 2025 season and beyond)

Stroll’s and Aston Martin's partnership has been basically on a rolling basis for many years now. His contract length or any details remain unsure.

Alpine

Pierre Gasly (multi-year deal till “at least” the end of 2026 season)

The Frenchman signed a new contract extension with the team in June this year. They will continue their partnership until at least the end of 2026 on a multi-year contract.

TBA

The second Alpine driver for 2025 should be announced soon.

RB

Yuki Tsunoda (contract till the end of 2025)

Tsunoda signed with RB for his fifth season with the team, with a remaining hope to still upgrade to a Red Bull seat if he continues with the good performance as until now.

TBA

The second RB driver for 2025 should be announced soon.

Haas

Esteban Ocon (“multi-year deal” till at least the end of 2026 season)

Earlier this year, Alpine decided not to continue their partnership with Ocon. Later on, he decided to sign with Haas a multi-year deal.

Oliver Bearman (“multi-year deal” till at least the end of 2026 season)

Haas decided to completely change their driver’s line-up for 2025 and bring some young talent in. The most ideal choice seemed to be Bearman, who replaced Carlos Sainz in this year’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, after he was diagnosed with appendicitis. Bearman secured 7th place in that race and gained sympathies from Haas because of that achievement.

With their seats full, Haas won’t continue their partnership with Kevin Magnussen anymore, who is now very unlikely to find a seat in F1 for next year.

Williams

Alexander Albon (contract till “at least” the end of 2026 season)

As expected, Albon renewed his contract with Williams ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola in the middle of May.

Carlos Sainz (contract till the end of 2026 season with an “option to extend)

After Ferrari signed with Hamilton, Sainz needed to look for a seat elsewhere. He managed to find a good partner in Williams and signed a 2-year deal with them just before the start of summer break.

Sauber

Nico Hulkenberg (“multi-year deal” till at least the end of 2026 season)

Sauber, soon to be Audi in 2026, managed to sign Hulkenberg after the German manufacturer showed interest in him. He will make it hard for either Valtteri Bottas or Guanyu Zhou as there is now only one seat available for them and one will most likely leave F1 next year.

TBA

The second Sauber driver for 2025 should be announced soon.
