The Red Bull Showrun in Prague took place today, August 17, 2024, at Rohanské nábřeží. The event was part of a global series introduced by Red Bull, which brings Formula 1 cars and other motorsport activities into urban settings for the public to enjoy. It is also a great move from Red Bull marketing team because these promoting series became very popular.

The highlight of the event was the RB7, the famous car that 4th time world champion Sebastian Vettel, drove during his 2011 championship-winning season. In Prague David Coulthard sat behind the wheel of this famous car and showed his magic to all the excited fans there. Spectators were mainly impressed by its powerful engine roar and high-speed demonstrations. Alongside the F1 showcase, the event featured thrilling performances by the Red Bull Driftbrothers and stunt rider Arūnas "Aras" Gibieža, adding to the excitement.

The event drew large crowds, concretely around 20,000 spectators, leading to significant traffic disruptions in the area. To manage the crowd, several grandstands and viewing areas were set up, with tickets required for entry.

What caught many people’s eyes was a tram driving for many days before the event through the whole city of Prague with an F1 car in the back! On the side of the tram was a text written in Czech: “The best way to get around Prague is by public transport, even an F1 car knows that”. That was a great move from Red Bull as it drew so much attention to the event.

For those who missed it, Red Bull also filmed a special video featuring their racing team at various iconic locations in the Czech Republic, which was released to promote the event.
