The reigning champion Max Verstappen was very frustrated after he only managed to secure sixth place in yesterday’s Italian Grand Prix. Red Bull has struggled with lots of issues throughout the whole weekend in Monza, including major problems with balance and understeer.

All their rivals (McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes) were better in terms of basically everything, which left Red Bull very disappointed and worried about their first places in both championships at this point.

Despite McLaren’s strategy with two pit stops, which didn’t turn out as the best one, with Charles Leclerc winning thanks to only one-stop strategy, the team from Woking left Monza with 34 points, cutting the gap to Red Bull in the Constructor’s Championship to only 8 points. Norris scored double the points as Verstappen, who is now leading the Driver’s Championship of only 62 points ahead of the Brit.

“Last year we had a great car, the most dominant car ever, but we have turned it into a monster so we have to turn it around,” Verstappen told the media.

“It doesn’t matter where we are [racing] at the moment, we are bad everywhere, so we need a lot of changes.”

“At the moment both championships are not realistic,” he added.
