After the incredible race weekend in Thailand, the racing action now heads to Argentina, right at the iconic Termas de Rio Hondo circuit. This track has a rich history, witnessing incredible victories and some unforgettable controversies. So, during this weekend, the majority of people will look at one man, and that is none other than Marc Marquez.

Marquez arrives in Argentina leading the championship standings after a long time—exactly for the first time in 93 Grand Prix races. Fresh from a double victory in Buriram, he returns to a circuit where he has claimed three victories. However, this time, he will have to do it with Ducati's factory team, which has yet to achieve success here. Since Marquez hasn’t raced in Argentina since 2019, it will be a challenge—yet not that difficult, considering that back then, he finished nearly 10 seconds ahead of the field.

Meanwhile, his teammate Francesco Bagnaia has never stood on a podium in Argentina in any class. But after a double podium in Thailand, this story could change as well.

Another rider to look out for is Ai Ogura, who impressed the paddock with the best rookie debut since Marc Marquez in 2013. Even though he has only raced at Termas twice, in one of those races, he managed to finish on the podium.

Heading into the weekend with momentum from Thailand is Franco Morbidelli, who finished P4 in both the Sprint and Grand Prix here two years ago. So, we can expect Morbidelli to push extra hard.

However, we have two manufacturers to watch for progress—Yamaha and Honda. Thailand gave us a glimpse of improvement in both teams. In Honda's case, we saw Johann Zarco finish P7, while his new teammate Somkiat Chantra made an impressive debut. Their colleague Joan Mir was battling for a solid result, but unfortunately, he crashed out.

Over at Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo got through the race weekend with a P7 Sprint finish. His teammate Alex Rins, a double podium finisher in Argentina, hopes to recreate that success. Jack Miller impressed in Thailand with a P4 qualifying result, yet race-day consistency remains a challenge. His teammate Miguel Oliveira aims for better results after a less-than-ideal start to the season.

One manufacturer we should not count out is KTM. Despite their not-so-smooth pre-season, Enea Bastianini showed incredible performance, climbing to P9. Meanwhile, his teammate Maverick Viñales is still seeking to triumph at a circuit where he has had incredible performances.

Elsewhere, rookie Fermin Aldeguer impressed with a points finish and will try to build on this. His teammate Raul Fernandez will seek redemption after a tough Thailand Grand Prix.

We will also see Lorenzo Savadori stepping in at Aprilia for Jorge Martin, who is still in the recovery process with an unknown return date.

Overall, Termas de Rio Hondo has a rich history of surprises and drama. With Marquez back on top, Ducati chasing their first factory win here, and strong underdogs ready for a podium, we can expect an exciting weekend.
