McLaren has revealed six significant updates to the MCL38 at Zandvoort, marking the first major upgrade since Miami. The team from Woking has recently proven their potential and became the hottest candidate to jump Red Bull in the Constructor’s Championship standings.

Following a major overhaul of their F1 car, which led to the victory of Lando Norris at the Miami Grand Prix in May, McLaren chose not to introduce further significant developments. However, after conserving its car's potential in recent weeks, McLaren has arrived at the Dutch Grand Prix with the biggest upgrade package of all teams.

In its submission to the FIA detailing the car's updates, McLaren highlighted the following key modifications:

  1. A new brake scoop designed to improve airflow conditions downstream, enhancing aerodynamic load.
  2. Revised front suspension to optimize airflow from the front brake geometry.
  3. A new floor edge to increase downforce in that area and improve flow conditioning across the underside.
  4. Modified rear suspension to enhance flow conditioning around the rear corner, diffuser, and beam wing area.
  5. A new high-downforce rear wing made specially for circuits like Zandvoort.
  6. A new beam wing designed to complement the upgraded rear wing.

The Papaya team is now fully focused on their battle with Red Bull for the Constructor’s Championship trophy and is working hard to prove that their car development has been the best of all over the last few years.
