Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP revealed their 2025 bike design in an event in Kuala Lumpur. The team was joined by their new Yamaha partners, Prima Pramac Yamaha. The new look keeps the team's same style but also adds a new touch of blue, in line with their 2025 theme: 'The Blue Shift.'
Fabio Quartararo shared his excitement: "Starting a new MotoGP season is always thrilling, and this year is even more special with a fresh chapter for Yamaha. The new bike looks great with the added blue, and I can't wait to see it on the track."
Quartararo also highlighted the significance of Yamaha's new collaboration with Pramac: "This first test is even more exciting because Yamaha and Pramac are beginning a big project together. Everyone is eager to start working, and that motivation pushes me even more. I've been training hard, and I feel fitter than ever. The sooner we start, the sooner we get to race and hear the fans cheer again."
Alex Rins shared his enthusiasm: "The 2025 Yamaha MotoGP Launch Event brought together Yamaha Motor Company, Yamaha Motor Racing, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, and BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2. It's a huge moment for Yamaha’s MotoGP journey—racing history in the making."
Reflecting on the challenges of the previous year, Rins added: "The 2024 season wasn’t easy, but that’s behind us. Now it’s 2025, and Yamaha, along with the new Pramac team, is fully supporting us. I've trained hard during the preseason, and I’m eager to give my best in the first test at Sepang. I can't wait to get started!"
'Blue Shift' marks a new era for Yamaha as they introduce an Independent Team with Prima Pramac Yamaha and launch the BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team, reinforcing their commitment to a strong comeback.
There have also been key changes in Yamaha’s leadership. Paolo Pavesio, formerly Director of Marketing and Motorsport at Yamaha Motor Europe, has taken over as Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing and Team Principal of Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP. He replaces Lin Jarvis, who held these roles since 1999. However, Jarvis will continue to support Yamaha as a Senior Advisor.
Inside the garage, there are some new faces. While Fabio Quartararo’s crew continues under the guidance of chief Diego Gubellini, Alex Rins will work with his new crew chief, David Muñoz, who previously worked with Valentino Rossi.
With a fresh look, Yamaha is ready to make an impact in the 2025 MotoGP season.
