Get ready for high-speed battles, fierce rivalries, and a thrilling showdown in Texas!
MotoGP is moving to the United States for the Grand Prix of the Americas, and everyone is excited for the legendary Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin. Fans are especially eager to see Marc Marquez in action. The Ducati factory rider has dominated 2025 so far, setting the pace of the competition. As always, Marc Marquez is "Wanted" in the USA—but can anyone challenge his dominance?
Marc Marquez: The King of COTA
If having one Marquez at the front wasn’t enough, now there are two. Marc is leading the championship, but his younger brother, Alex Marquez, is making waves too. Alex has actually led more laps than his brother, proving that he is a real threat. However, COTA has always been a tough track for him—can he turn things around this time?
For Marc, this track is like a backyard. He won every Grand Prix here from 2013 to 2018, then again in 2021. After crashing out while leading in 2024, redemption is on his mind.
The Contenders
While Marc has been the king of COTA, he’s not the only rider with a strong record here. His teammate, Francesco Bagnaia, is hungry for victory and has had solid results at this circuit before. Since he hasn’t won yet this season, he’ll be more determined than ever.
Maverick Viñales is another rider to watch—he won here with Aprilia, which is a good sign for his teammate Marco Bezzecchi. But how will Viñales perform on the KTM? His teammate, Enea Bastianini, is also a past winner at COTA (2022), while Alex Rins has claimed victory twice (2019 and 2023).
Who Could Surprise?
Johann Zarco arrives in top form after an impressive performance in Argentina. His team has won at COTA before, and Zarco himself has delivered strong results at this track. Meanwhile, Brad Binder aims to break into the top six.
Fabio Quartararo showed promise in qualifying in Argentina but had a tough race, while Jack Miller struggled but still managed to score points. The Yamaha squad will be hoping for a smoother experience this time around.
The VR46 Racing Team duo of Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio have consistently secured top-five finishes this season. Morbidelli, fresh off a podium, could be a serious threat. Joan Mir also broke into the top ten for the first time in a year, showing that Honda is making progress.
Will the Marquez brothers dominate in Austin, or will a new rider steal the show?
