The MotoGP grid kicked off their weekend at the Gran Premio de Aragon with an eventful Free Practice. Marc Marquez started the session strong, setting the pace with a time of 1:48.289, becoming the first rider to break into the 1:48s. Close behind him was Jorge Martin, with a 0.483s gap, securing the second spot. Rookie star Pedro Acosta impressed everyone by taking third place after familiarizing himself with the track.
Brad Binder jumped to fourth position with a time of 1:48.952, while Fabio Di Giannantonio put in a lot of effort to secure fifth place. Jack Miller finished eighth in the session, ahead of Enea Bastianini. The top ten was rounded out by Franco Morbidelli.
However, it was a challenging session for some riders, like Francesco Bagnaia, who found himself in P21, as the reigning champion struggled to find pace. Aleix Espargaro also faced some difficulties, finishing outside the top 20.

Jorge Martin secured fourth place. Alex Marquez overcame early issues to claim fifth, capping off a strong day for the Gresini squad alongside Marc Marquez.
Francesco Bagnaia redeemed himself by finishing sixth, while his teammate Enea Bastianini struggled with late yellow flags in the session. Franco Morbidelli finished seventh, continuing his solid start to the weekend. Johann Zarco took eighth, becoming the only Honda rider to secure direct entry into Q2. Rounding out the top ten were Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira.
The session was not without drama, with several crashes, including Fabio Quartararo at Turn 5, Augusto Fernandez at Turn 16, and Jack Miller at the same corner. Miller’s crash in the final minute of the session left him in 16th, with plenty of work to do on Saturday.
