Marquez had already secured pole position in qualifying, beating his younger brother Alex Marquez and his new teammate Francesco Bagnaia. However, when the lights went out, Marc Marquez took the lead instantly and never looked back until the end. He crossed the finish line with more than a one-second lead ahead of Alex, making it his first time leading the championship since his last title win in 2019.
At the start, Marc Marquez got off the line quickly, while Alex followed closely and had to defend early from Bagnaia. By the end of the second lap, Marc pulled ahead by more than seven-tenths of a second. Bagnaia, however, struggled to keep up with the front riders and soon found Ogura closing in behind him.
Marquez continued to widen his gap, extending it to over a second by lap seven and maintaining his lead until the end. His brother Alex finished second without any serious threats, while Bagnaia managed to hold on to third place, just 0.969 seconds ahead of Ogura.
The top three riders from qualifying—Marc, Alex, and Bagnaia—finished in the same order in the sprint race. Meanwhile, the surprise of the race was Ai Ogura, who finished fourth and looked like he might overtake for third. He finished ahead of Franco Morbidelli.

Elsewhere, Fabio Quartararo moved up to seventh after the start, but after Jack Miller’s crash on lap seven, he advanced to sixth. Brad Binder dropped to eighth after an early battle with his teammate Pedro Acosta, while the final sprint point went to Joan Mir. This was Mir’s second-ever sprint point with Honda.
Further back, out of the points, was Johann Zarco in 10th, while Raul Fernandez finished right behind in 11th. Marco Bezzecchi had a rough start, suffering wheelspin off the line, which instantly dropped him to 19th. Yet, he recovered and finished 12th ahead of Fermin Aldeguer.
The only rider to retire was Fabio Di Giannantonio, who had to pull out due to technical issues.
With this victory, Marc Marquez has sent a clear message to his rivals—he is ready to fight for his seventh MotoGP title.
