Marc Marquez is sure he will have a good relationship with Francesco Bagnaia in Ducati this year.

Marquez and Bagnaia are both world champions and are considered one of the strongest duos in years. The last time MotoGP had two superstar pairings was when Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo raced together for Yamaha. However, Ducati is not worried about having two of the most talented riders in one team. Team boss Davide Tardozzi has said that there are no concerns about any problems between them.

Marquez also believes that he and Bagnaia will stay friendly to each other, even when they will be fighting for the championship. Ducati is also expected to stay ahead of other teams in 2025 as they did in 2024.

Marquez explained that both he and Bagnaia are experienced enough to work well together.

"If you put two young and aggressive riders in the same team, it can be a disaster. But now, Pecco is 27, and I am 32. We are mature," Marquez said in a Spanish TV interview. "Pecco is a gentleman and stays calm. During the preseason, we worked together and talked a lot to improve the bike."

Marquez admitted that when he was younger, he couldn't separate on-track competition from off-track relationships. "At 20 years old, racing was life or death for me. But now, I understand the difference. We will fight on the track, but off the track, there will be respect. Pecco is calm, but when racing, he is a warrior. He will fight hard, just like me."

Marquez had been aiming to join the official Ducati team ever since he left Honda at the end of 2023.

Now, he finally has the bike that he believes can win him another MotoGP title and put him on the same level as Valentino Rossi's seven MotoGP titles.

"Leaving Honda was very hard, not because of money, but because I had to be honest with myself," Marquez said. "I left behind my friends, my team, and a big salary. But I had to ask myself if I was still competitive."

Joining the Gresini team in 2024 was a big risk for Marquez, but he believed that he made the right choice. "It was like an investment in my career. If I did well, I would have a chance to move to a factory team. I knew contracts were ending, and if I performed, opportunities would come."

Now that he has achieved his goal of joining Ducati, Marquez knows the pressure is on him to deliver results.

"For me, failure is not trying. I took a risk, I did well, and now I am in the best team, with the best bike. Now it is up to me to win another title."
