The desert night lit up with fast laps, dramatic crashes, and shifting positions as MotoGP practice got underway. From early lead changes to late yellow flags, the session had no shortage of surprises, with Franco Morbidelli finishing on top and big names like Bagnaia and Marc Marquez right behind him.

Practice started at night under the bright lights of the desert track. The first rider to take the lead was Johann Zarco, with Jack Miller behind him and Jorge Martin in third. But that didn’t last long—Joan Mir moved up to second and Francesco Bagnaia climbed to third.

After about 7 minutes, Alex Marquez took the lead, and Pedro Acosta moved into fourth. But the lead quickly changed again when Marc Marquez went to the front. Francesco Bagnaia was riding well and looked strong enough to challenge for the lead, but in the end, he finished third.

There was a yellow flag in Sector 2 due to a crash by Somkiat Chantra. A few minutes later, Jorge Martin made a mistake and ran wide, which happened to several riders. Bagnaia improved and took second place, while Marc Marquez still held the lead with a time of 1:51.810. Fabio Quartararo also showed good pace.

Alex Marquez fought back and moved into second place again. Not much else happened for a while. Alex took the lead again with Pecco (Bagnaia) right behind him. The VR46 team impressed, holding strong positions in the top 10. With 25 minutes left, they were in P4 and P5.

Raul Fernandez surprised everyone by jumping to 7th place, likely because many other riders were in the pits at that time.

With 12 minutes to go, things got exciting. Bagnaia took the lead, with Franco Morbidelli right behind him. Fabio Di Giannantonio was in third, and Pedro Acosta in fourth. Alex and Marc Marquez dropped to 6th and 7th, but quickly bounced back—Marc moved up to second and Alex to fourth.

As the final 10 minutes began, riders got ready to push for their best lap times. With 7 minutes left, most returned to the track. All Yamahas except for Alex Rins were outside the top 10, but Quartararo managed to get into 5th with a solid lap.

Other riders also began posting fast times. Ai Ogura improved to 12th, and Di Giannantonio moved up to 3rd.

Another yellow flag appeared in Sector 2 with 4 minutes left, caused by Jack Miller crashing again at Turn 7. Riders were frustrated, as yellow flags near the end can cancel their laps.

The flag cleared with just over 2 minutes left. Somkiat Chantra made another mistake and went off into the gravel.

With 1 minute remaining, the final round of fast laps began. Fermin Aldeguer improved to 9th. Pedro Acosta was on a great lap and could have challenged for P1, but had trouble in the last sector and finished in 7th.

In the end, Franco Morbidelli took first place. Francesco Bagnaia finished second, with Marc Marquez in third. Di Giannantonio was fourth, Alex Marquez fifth, and Fabio Quartararo was the top Yamaha rider in sixth.
