Formula 1 has announced a new multi-year partnership with Nestlé, making the KitKat brand the Official Chocolate Bar of the championship.

Under this agreement, KitKat branding will be present at F1 races through trackside advertising. F1's official press release also mentioned that fans can expect a wide range of exciting activities, promotional prizes, and cool fan zones at select Grands Prix.

The partnership is set to begin in 2025 and will gradually expand in the following years. F1 also teased the use of this partnership to promote the collaboration, though specifics were not shared.

“We’re thrilled to welcome such a globally recognized and fun brand like KitKat to the F1 family,” said Emily Prazer, F1's Chief Commercial Officer. “They’re loved by fans worldwide, and we look forward to the incredible experiences they’ll bring to our audiences at the track, as well as the new fans they’ll introduce to the sport.”

The deal comes at an ideal time for both parties: F1 will celebrate 75 years since its first race at Silverstone in 1950, while Nestlé marks the 90th anniversary of KitKat’s creation.

"Formula 1 is a global phenomenon with a fast-growing and diverse fanbase, especially among younger audiences," said Bernard Meunier, Head of Strategic Business Units and Marketing & Sales at Nestlé. "With its international reach and packed schedule, F1 is the ideal platform for KitKat to remind fans to take a break. We’re excited to bring our fun spirit to this exhilarating sport and create unforgettable experiences for fans around the world."

The partnership adds KitKat as F1's official chocolate bar partner, joining a lineup that includes Heineken as the global beer partner since 2016. F1 also holds a regional partnership with McDonald's in Latin America.
