Alpine is set to become a major sponsor of Pramac Racing as Pramac transitions into Yamaha’s new satellite team in 2025.

Last month, Pramac confirmed that Prima, an Italian insurance company, will continue as its title sponsor through the end of the 2027 season. Now it is known that Prima will share the sponsorship with Alpine, which also competes in Formula 1, according to Autosport.

This collaboration marks Pramac’s second notable crossover with Formula 1. In 2021, Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco featured F1’s official logo on their Pramac Ducati bikes, a partnership sparked by the close relationship between Pramac boss Paolo Campinoti and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. Similarly, the new agreement between Alpine and Pramac stems from Campinoti’s strong ties with Renault CEO Luca de Meo.

De Meo sees MotoGP as an effective platform for automobile brand promotion. During his tenure at Fiat Group, he orchestrated a high-profile sponsorship with Yamaha, featuring Fiat’s branding on the bikes of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo from 2007 to 2010. The partnership with Pramac signals a long-term commitment and a new chapter as the team concludes its two-decade collaboration with Ducati.

Under Ducati, Pramac enjoyed considerable success, including a 2024 riders’ championship victory with Jorge Martin and a teams’ championship win in 2023. Starting in 2025, Pramac will partner with Yamaha, which aims to emulate Ducati’s approach by supplying full-factory-spec bikes to its satellite team.

Pramac is expected to showcase the livery of its Yamaha M1 bikes during the official pre-season test at Sepang International Circuit. The team will debut the new look during MotoGP’s official photo session at the same venue.

The 2025 campaign will see Pramac fielding Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira, both former race winners and now directly contracted to Yamaha.
