The 2023 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix delivered plenty of action, with Max Verstappen once again taking the top step of the podium.

The race, held at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), saw the three-time world champion secure his 15th win of the season, extending his already dominant campaign.

Starting from sixth on the grid, Verstappen quickly moved up the field. Despite struggling with brake issues, he took the lead on lap 28 and held off a charging Lewis Hamilton to cross the line first. This win marked his 50th career victory, putting him among the sport's all-time greats.

Behind Verstappen, the battle for the podium was intense. Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton finished second after a strong performance, keeping the pressure on Verstappen in the final laps. His result was crucial for Mercedes in their fight for second place in the Constructors' Championship.

McLaren’s Lando Norris impressed once again, securing third place. Norris had started the race from the front row and led the early stages before Verstappen overtook him. His podium finish highlighted McLaren’s continued improvement after a bad start to 2023.

Controversy struck after the race when both Hamilton and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc were disqualified for failing a post-race technical inspection. Their cars were found to have excessive wear on the floor plank, leading to their disqualification and reshuffling the final standings.

That promoted Lando Norris to second place and Ferrari's other driver Carlos Sainz to third.
