The Spanish MotoGP is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting events of the calendar, with ticket sales accelerating at an unbelievable pace. The Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto, the iconic venue that has hosted the Spanish Grand Prix since 1989, announced on January 14 that it has sold 50% more tickets for this year’s race in comparison to the same period in 2024.
In a statement, the circuit revealed: “The Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto has sold 50 per cent more tickets for the 2025 MotoGP Grand Prix [...] than were sold for the same dates in 2024, a record considering that the 2024 edition was positive with 4 percent more tickets sold than in 2023.” This means that over 13,920 tickets have been sold so far in 2025, leaving around 6,200 of the 39,307 grandstand seats available—only proving the growing excitement around this event.
What’s Driving the Demand?
While the exact reasons for this are up for debate, several factors are likely fueling fans’ enthusiasm. Recent initiatives from Dorna Sports have played a pivotal role in transforming race weekends into full fan experiences. Innovations like the Hero Walk, Sprint races, and a load of off-track attractions such as live music have drawn more spectators to the sport.
Adding to the excitement is the rider lineup and storylines set to unfold this season. The crowned champion Jorge Martin and his move to Aprilia have captured fans’ imaginations. Equally thrilling is the arrival of Marc Marquez to factory Ducati, where he will partner Francesco Bagnaia.
A Sign of Rising Popularity
The record-breaking ticket sales underscore a growing global interest in MotoGP. Jerez promises not just heart-stopping action on the track but also a vibrant celebration of motorsport culture off it.
With only a fraction of grandstand seats left and the energy building around MotoGP’s 2025 season, it’s clear that the Spanish Grand Prix is a must-see event. For fans lucky enough to secure their tickets, this year’s Jerez promises to be nothing less but of iconic.
