Pedro Acosta surprised everyone in his rookie season, finishing sixth in the riders' championship. His outstanding performance earned him a promotion to KTM’s factory team for 2025.

Now, as he prepares for his second season, he is focused on strengthening his skills and correcting three key weaknesses that held him back last year.

Staying Calm

Reflecting on his 2024 season, Acosta admitted that sometimes he let his emotions take over, which cost him valuable opportunities.

“In 2024, I realized that sometimes it’s better to stay calm and think strategically,” he said. “We lost a lot of good chances because we were too eager. This year, we’ll focus on making smarter decisions.”

Qualifying and Early Race Performance

Acosta identified two critical areas for improvement: qualifying and the opening laps of a race.

“Last year, we often had the speed to fight for podiums or victories, but poor qualifying made it hard to catch the leading group,” he explained. “Fixing this will be a major focus for 2025.”

Adapting to MotoGP

Despite his impressive debut, Acosta acknowledges there’s still a lot to learn.

“2024 had many great moments, but there are still goals we need to achieve,” he said. “I’ve learned how to manage a race and understand how different MotoGP is from the smaller classes. Now, it’s time to take the next step.”

With a year of experience under his belt and a clear vision for improvement, Pedro Acosta is determined to make 2025 his best season yet.
