The MotoGP triple-header moves to the Grand Prix of Thailand, with Jorge Martin holding a 20-point lead over Francesco Bagnaia in the championship. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez remains in contention after his victory last weekend, and Enea Bastianini is still hypothetically in the fight, though only just.

Martin heads into this weekend with confidence, as Buriram is one of the tracks where he managed a double victory last year. Having extended his lead last weekend, Martin knows that even if Bagnaia wins every remaining Sprint and race, his lead would only shrink by four points. However, both riders know the championship can change in an instant. Bagnaia, chasing Martin, may need to take more risks, but he knows those risks must pay off. Bagnaia’s bold overtakes, like last year’s two-for-one move, show that the reigning champion is willing to push hard.

Marquez, after battling Martin in Australia and securing victory, is in good form. Having won twice at Buriram, he could play a crucial role in the race, even if his own championship hopes are slim. Bastianini is on the verge of elimination, but he will also aim to make it difficult for the front-runners, with the potential to add some unpredictability to the race.

Brad Binder is another rider to watch, as he had strong pace last year at Buriram, not to mention his fast start in Australia. He will aim to mix it up with Martin and Bagnaia again, while Pedro Acosta hopes to recover from his injury and get back into the action.

Maverick Viñales finished close behind Binder in Australia and will target the top five again, while his teammate Aleix Espargaro looks to improve. Fabio Di Giannantonio will aim for a strong result before undergoing shoulder surgery, while Marco Bezzecchi and Alex Marquez will aim to bounce back after a disappointing Australian Grand Prix.

At Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo secured P9 last weekend, while Honda rider Johann Zarco led the non-Ducati charge. Luca Marini had his best Honda weekend yet, while Joan Mir and Takaaki Nakagami aim for redemption.
