The countdown to the 2025 MotoGP season has begun, promising thrilling action, new bikes, talented rookies, and striking bike designs. With the season officially kicking off in Thailand from February 28 to March 2, fans are eagerly awaiting the introduction of team liveries.
This year, MotoGP is shaking things up with an official pre-season event in Bangkok on February 9. While initially speculated to be a platform for all teams to reveal their liveries, the event is now a spectacular pre-season party featuring all the bikes, fan engagement activities, and more. The paddock will then head to Buriram for the final pre-season test.
Here’s a rundown of the most anticipated events and details:
14 January – Trackhouse Racing
The Aprilia satellite team kicks off the launch season, unveiling their livery at their Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters. Riders Raul Fernandez and rookie Ai Ogura will showcase the new design, featuring sponsorship from Gulf Oil, which promises an exciting twist on their colors.
16 January – Aprilia Factory Racing
World Champion Jorge Martin makes his Aprilia debut alongside his new teammate Marco Bezzecchi. This marks a pivotal moment for Aprilia, with fans eagerly anticipating Martin’s possible switch to the iconic number 1 plate. The launch details remain under wraps for now, adding a layer of intrigue.
18 January – Gresini Racing
Gresini Racing will reveal their livery at Italy’s legendary Imola Circuit. Riders Alex Marquez and rookie Fermin Aldeguer will showcase their Ducati GP24s, continuing the squad’s tradition of blending history with cutting-edge MotoGP innovation.
20 January – Ducati Corse
The factory Ducati launch is one of the most anticipated events of the season, featuring Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia. The unveiling will take place at Madonna di Campiglio ski resort, a picturesque and fitting venue for Ducati’s championship ambitions.
31 January – Yamaha and Pramac Racing
Yamaha’s tradition of South East Asian launches continues with an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Fans will see Yamaha’s factory team, led by Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins, alongside the new satellite Pramac Racing team. Riders Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira will debut Pramac’s first-ever Yamaha partnership.
1 February – Honda Factory Racing
For the first time in three decades, Honda will unveil a new look without the iconic Repsol livery. The launch will feature Joan Mir and Luca Marini, setting the stage for a bold new chapter in Honda’s MotoGP journey.
8 February – LCR Honda
LCR Honda wraps up the individual launches with a dual livery reveal. Riders Johann Zarco and Somkiat Chantra will represent sponsors Repsol and Idemitsu, respectively, at an event in Bangkok—one day before the official MotoGP season launch.
