He leads Jorge Martin by a razor-thin margin, while top riders like Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez battle for strong starting positions ahead of an exciting weekend at the Chang International Circuit.
MotoGP is back for another thrilling round at the Thailand Grand Prix, with Marco Bezzecchi taking the lead after Free Practice 1. The Italian rider set a lap time of 1:30.492 early on, maintaining his top position through to the session’s end. Bezzecchi’s time gave him a slim 0.038-second gap over Jorge Martin, who finished in second. Martin looked strong and positioned himself ahead of his rival Francesco Bagnaia, who clocked in 20 laps during the session. Marc Marquez also made a solid start, securing fourth place. He finished just ahead of his brother, Alex Marquez, who rounded out the top five, marking a successful start for Gresini Racin.
Enea Bastianini secured sixth, followed by Pedro Acosta, who took seventh in his return. Jack Miller closed out the top eight positions in eighth.
Further down, Takaaki Nakagami and Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top 10, emerging as the fastest riders for the Japanese manufacturers. Maverick Viñales finished a challenging session in 15th, while Aleix Espargaro ended in P21 after suffering an early crash at Turn 12.
