Before the new season begins, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc gave Tifosi fans a special show, driving older Ferrari cars through the streets of Milan.
Ferrari fans in Milan were treated to a special event yesterday as Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc made an appearance ahead of the new Formula 1 season. With just a bit more than a week to go before the first race, the two drivers took to the streets in older Ferrari cars, giving the Tifosi crowd a show to remember.
Leclerc, now in his seventh season with the team, drove the SF90 from 2019, the car that took him to his first two grand prix victories. Hamilton, who is just days away from his Ferrari debut, got behind the wheel of the SF21 from 2021.
Reflecting on his first few weeks with the team, Hamilton described the experience as “incredible – since January 20th it’s been flat-out every day.”
With a rare free weekend ahead, he added, “I’m looking forward to this weekend. I have the weekend off, so I’m going to sleep.”

The event also celebrated Ferrari’s rich history, with two iconic cars on display—the F2004, which took Michael Schumacher to his final world title, and the 248 F1, the last Ferrari he raced.
To that Hamilton said: “Wearing red and experiencing an event like this is something special, as is being here with you in front of some historic cars including ones that Michael Schumacher raced.”
Leclerc is feeling positive about the team’s progress over the winter and hopes that hard work will pay off.
“Over the winter we have worked harder than ever to be in the best possible shape and we hope we can get some great results,” he said.
“Maybe already in Australia.”
