The 2023 Italian Grand Prix took place on September 3rd at the Monza Circuit, a track famous for its high speeds, therefore, often called "the Temple of Speed". This race was a key moment in last year's Formula 1 season, especially because it set a new record.

Max Verstappen from Red Bull won the race, making it his 10th straight victory, the most consecutive wins by any driver in a single season. His performance showed just how dominant he’s been throughout the whole 2023 season. On top of everything also broke the so called “Monza curse”, that started back in 2019. The curse advised that the winner of last year's race would fail to finish the current Italian Grand Prix, which didn’t come true for Verstappen.

Carlos Sainz from Ferrari started the race from pole, which thrilled the home crowd in Italy. Ferrari fans, known as the Tifosi, were excited to see their team in the lead. Sainz managed to stay ahead of Verstappen for the first 15 laps, but eventually, Verstappen’s Red Bull car proved too fast to hold back. After passing Sainz, Verstappen never looked back and went on to win.

Sergio Perez in Red Bull’s second car, also had a strong race. He started in fifth but fought his way up to finish second. He had an exciting battle with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc before securing the runner-up spot. Sainz managed to hold on to third place, giving Ferrari a podium finish, much to the delight of their fans.

There were a few incidents during the race, including a collision between Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri. Hamilton received a five-second penalty for causing the crash, but overall, the race didn’t have too many dramatic moments.

At Monza, tire management and race strategy are always important because of the high speeds. Red Bull's strategy worked perfectly, allowing them to stay ahead of the competition and one again prove their dominance.

By the end of the race, Max Verstappen had further solidified his lead in the championship, bringing him closer to winning his third straight world title. Red Bull also strengthened their hold on the Constructors' Championship, with their drivers consistently finishing at the top, which is not possible to say about this year’s season.

For Ferrari, the race was a mix of emotions. They couldn’t get the win they wanted in front of their home crowd, but Sainz’s third-place finish was the best they could’ve done at Monza.

The 2023 Italian Grand Prix only highlighted Red Bull and Verstappen’s dominance that season, which they later turned into both Driver’s and Constructor’s Championship titles.
