The weather forecast for the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix weekend could bring some surprises, especially on race day. Conditions will change throughout the weekend, which could make things tricky for the drivers and teams.

Friday is expected to be the calmest day of the weekend. Both practice sessions should take place under clear skies with sunshine and dry conditions all day. The temperature will be around 16°C at its warmest, but it could drop to as low as 7°C in the morning. A moderate wind from the northwest will blow across the track, with gusts of up to 30–40kph in the afternoon. It should be a good day for teams to collect useful data and prepare their cars without any weather problems.

Saturday will see more cloud cover, but the day should stay dry for both the final practice session and qualifying. The temperature will again reach around 16°C, with the morning being cooler at just 6°C. A light breeze will come from the southeast. There is a small chance of rain (around 20%) later in the evening as a cold front starts to move in from the west, but the important sessions should not be affected.

Sunday, the day of the race, looks much more uncertain. Rain is likely in the morning as a weather front moves through the area overnight, bringing between 2 and 10mm of rainfall. Conditions are expected to improve later in the day, but there is still a high chance of rain (80%) during the race, which starts at 14:00 local time (7:00 CEST). Temperatures will be slightly warmer at around 18°C, with a gentle wind from the southwest. There may be some sunshine during the race, which could dry parts of the track. This means conditions might change from wet to dry, making strategy even more important and adding an extra challenge for everyone involved.
