Haas has revealed a special cherry blossom livery for the Japanese Grand Prix, which feels like a ‘home race’ for the team because of its partnership with Toyota.

Haas heads to Japan feeling confident after a strong result in China, where Esteban Ocon finished fifth and Oliver Bearman came home in eighth. It was a great team effort and marked the first time this season that both cars finished in the points.

For this weekend, the team will also be racing with a special look. The car’s livery has been changed to include a lot of pink, inspired by the cherry blossom season in Japan. The word “Sakura” (the Japanese name for cherry blossoms) will be seen on the side of the VF-25.

This design means a lot to the team. Haas has a close partnership with Japanese manufacturer Toyota, and their team principal, Ayao Komatsu, was born in Tokyo.

“To celebrate the official launch of cherry blossom season in Japan, Haas F1 team is paying homage to the 'sakura' with a bespoke livery for the Japanese Grand Prix,” the team said.

“The popular spring flower motif will feature across the VF-25 and digital assets throughout race week.”
