Franco Morbidelli will join the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team for the 2025 season, as the highly anticipated switch has been officially confirmed. He is set to race a Ducati Desmosedici GP24 alongside Fabio Di Giannantonio next year. This all-Italian duo will lead the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team into the future with renewed ambitions. After careful consideration, the team chose a rider who has been part of the VR46 family for some time.

Morbidelli began his MotoGP career with Honda in 2018. The following year, he joined Petronas SRT, where he had a successful 2020 season, finishing as the championship runner-up. However, since replacing Maverick Vinales in mid-2021, he has not secured a MotoGP podium.

This season, Morbidelli switched to factory Ducati with Pramac, but he missed the entire pre-season testing after suffering a head injury on a Superbike at Portimao in January.
