MotoGP delivered another thrilling performance to wrap up Friday at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, with Francesco Bagnaia leading the session. Bagnaia set the fastest time of the day in a session filled with drama, crashes, and standout performances across the grid.

The Italian posted a time of 1:30.286, putting himself 0.198s ahead of Jorge Martin. It was a dramatic finish for Martin, who secured P2 but crashed at Turn 8, then watched the rest of the session from the pits. Marc Marquez maintained strong form, finishing third.

There were plenty of notable moments during the session, with Alex Rins missing out due to illness. Early on, Jorge Martin and Pedro Acosta set the pace, though Acosta's session was soon disrupted by a crash at Turn 14. Alex Marquez also crashed, sliding out at Turn 1, but luckily, both riders were uninjured.

With 20 minutes remaining in the session, Marc Marquez started pushing on soft tyres. Martin improved his lap time, but it was canceled due to a yellow flag, as Augusto Fernandez crashed at Turn 15. Bagnaia secured the top spot in the final moments, while Enea Bastianini jumped from sixth to fourth. Fabio Quartararo put in a strong performance to secure fifth place.

Franco Morbidelli finished sixth, continuing his strong form from San Marino. Morbidelli completed over 25 laps, finishing just ahead of Marco Bezzecchi in seventh. Maverick Viñales was the fastest Aprilia rider, taking eighth place ahead of Acosta, who tested new aerodynamics. Aleix Espargaro rounded out the top ten, securing the final direct spot into Q2.
