Enea Bastianini claimed victory in the Thailand Grand Prix Sprint, finishing 1.357 seconds ahead with an impressive performance. Bastianini took the lead on the first lap, maintaining a calm but aggressive pace that left Jorge Martin unable to challenge. This was a pivotal result for the Championship, as Martin’s second-place finish allowed him to extend his lead over Francesco Bagnaia to 22 points. Bagnaia, despite starting from pole, finished third, keeping the title race thrilling for Sunday.

As the lights went out, Bagnaia launched off the pole with a strong start, briefly holding the advantage. However, Martin quickly went on the attack, attempting to pass from the inside but running too wide and dropping to fifth. This allowed Bastianini to move into the lead, where he would remain until the end of the Sprint.

Martin was determined to recover, pushing hard. He overtook Pedro Acosta on Lap 2 and then set his sights on Marc Marquez. Martin soon made a move on Marquez, successfully overtaking him for a podium position. Meanwhile, Bastianini set the fastest lap and widened his lead to one second. Acosta’s hopes were dashed shortly after when he crashed at Turn 3, forcing him to retire from the Sprint.

Further back, Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio were locked in a battle of their own, with Brad Binder slipping down the ranks. Martin continued his pursuit, closing in on Bagnaia before overtaking him on Lap 7, though he received a track limits warning for running wide. The final laps became intense to watch, with Bagnaia right behind Martin as the end neared.

On the final lap, Bastianini’s pace proved unbeatable, securing him the victory. Martin finished second, gaining more Championship points over Bagnaia, who came in third. Marc Marquez finished fourth, earning more points, followed by his brother Alex Marquez in fifth. Alex battled hard in the final stages of the Sprint, with Franco Morbidelli finishing behind him in sixth. Meanwhile, Bezzecchi and Di Giannantonio continued their duel to the finish line, with Binder rounding out the top nine in the Sprint.
