Marc Marquez has taken the 2025 MotoGP season by storm—and Ducati’s Davide Tardozzi couldn’t be more impressed. After years of ups and downs, Marquez is back at the top, and according to his team boss, he’s riding better than ever. With a flawless start to the season, Tardozzi believes Marquez could dominate the grid for years to come
Marc Marquez is back in his winning era, and he is dominating. Since he joined the factory Ducati team, Marquez has taken the 2025 season by storm so far. He has won every sprint race and won three of the first four races, including the thrilling race in Qatar. And with a 17-point lead in the championship, he is proving that he is far from past success.
Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi believes that Marquez is currently in the best form of his career, and also that the rest of the grid should be concerned. “Today’s Marc is much better than he was before,” Tardozzi told AS, a Spanish sports outlet. “He’s matured, he’s smart, and he’s still incredibly fast. He could be dangerous for another four or five years.”
Marquez’s arrival has created a so-called dream duo in the Ducati garage. Tardozzi described it as having the king and the prince, with Marquez being the legend and Bagnaia being the legend in the making. Between the two of them, Ducati now has 11 world titles.
And while Bagnaia is behind Marquez by 26 points after four rounds, Tardozzi expects him to be a serious challenger as the season progresses. “Pecco understands that it’s okay to settle for second if the risk is too high. He’s focused on the bigger goal—winning the title,” he said. “There will be battles between them, no doubt. But that’s the beauty of it.”
Ducati’s performance this season has been nothing but dominant. And not only is Marquez leading the rider standings, but Ducati also has a 99-point advantage in the constructors’ championship—meaning the team currently holds 174 points.
For MotoGP fans, this comeback of Marc Marquez is incredible. After years of injury struggles and mixed results, almost everyone had wondered if he would ever return to his championship-winning form. Now, with a top-tier bike and a fresh new start at Ducati, he is rewriting the story.
But with that, one question arises: Can anyone stop Marquez in 2025?
