On October 4, 2024, Aprilia Racing announced that Fabiano Sterlacchini will take on the position of Technical Director, starting from Monday, November 18, 2024.
Fabiano's appointment marks a significant advancement in Aprilia's MotoGP project, following the recruitment of two promising riders, Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi. The team extended gratitude to Romano Albesiano for his 11 years of dedicated service as Technical Director. Aprilia stated that they wish him the best as he transitions to the role of Technical Director at Honda for the upcoming season.
