News.gp journalist and a girl with big dreamsRed Bull’s 2025 car has hit the track for the first time during a filming day in Bahrain.
After unveiling a few initial renderings on Tuesday morning, images and footage of Red Bull’s RB21 first laps surfaced on social media following the team’s filming day in Bahrain.
Though officially classified as a filming day, these sessions are often used by teams as a shakedown, allowing them to check for any early technical issues and ensure the car is running smoothly before pre-season testing begins.
Max Verstappen was the first to take the car out on track, with Liam Lawson taking over the wheel later in the day, splitting the permitted 200km run.
From next year, Red Bull will transition to its own Red Bull-Ford Powertrains unit, meaning the RB21 is Red Bull’s final Honda-powered F1 car before their partnership ends after the 2025 season.
