McLaren has introduced a special ‘Legend Reborn’ livery to run at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore this weekend.
McLaren is the third team to reveal a special livery for the Singapore GP weekend, following Mercedes, who are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their partnership with Petronas with a signature emerald green design, and RB, who have opted for a denim-inspired look.
It will be McLaren’s second special livery this season as they had already run one at the Monaco Grand Prix, which was inspired by Ayrton Senna's legacy.
The eye-catching Singapore GP design called 'Legend Reborn' represents and pays tribute to the team's most successful era in F1 under Sir Ron Dennis, a period when McLaren dominated the series, particularly in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
For the Marina Bay race under the lights, the MCL38 will run a design reminiscent of the iconic red and white Marlboro livery from the 1981-1996 years. However, instead of adopting the red color scheme, the design will retain its signature papaya orange.
During that memorable time, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, and Ayrton Senna secured seven driver's titles for the team between 1984 and 1991, with the livery honoring these legends and 13 other drivers in its design, while featuring their names around the cockpit.
A nod to history, a step into the future. 🫡

"It is fantastic to bring back our third bespoke livery in Singapore with OKX,” said McLaren’s Chief Marketing Officer Louise McEwen.
"Legend Reborn is a great way to celebrate and honour our iconic history, in a way that unites fans old and new.
"Following on from this year's Senna campaign, this livery further embodies our partnership with OKX as we continue to deliver unique storytelling campaigns for McLaren fans and OKX customers globally."
The livery will be officially revealed during an on-track event in Singapore ahead of the race weekend, with McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown and drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri set to attend.
