News.gp journalist and a girl with big dreamsMcLaren has secured a multi-year partnership with a company that only announced its agreement with Formula 1 yesterday.
Just one day after Formula 1 announced its partnership with Allwyn, McLaren followed by securing its own multi-year deal with the global lottery operator.
Allwyn, already well-known in seven markets across Europe and the United States, is looking to use McLaren’s global platform to raise its brand profile even further.
The deal with the British team covers McLaren’s Formula 1 team, the McLaren Shadow F1 sim racing team, and the F1 Academy.
In the upcoming season, Allwyn branding will appear on various team assets, including the race cars and driver overalls of McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
The company promises fans exclusive behind-the-scenes content, live experiences, and more ways to connect with McLaren through this partnership.
Additionally, the collaboration will allow Allwyn to promote responsible gaming to a global audience, helping to spread awareness about safe gaming in an engaging and exciting way.
Zak Brown, CEO, McLaren Racing, said: “We are delighted to welcome Allwyn to the McLaren Racing family. Off the back of a fantastic 2024 season in Formula 1, it’s great to have an international brand like Allwyn join us at a time when the team – and the sport – is going from strength to strength. We’re excited to go racing together.”
Karel Komárek, Allwyn Board Chair and Founder, said: “This exciting partnership – alongside the partnership we announced earlier this week with F1 - is a big step forward on Allwyn’s journey to expand its business and brand globally. Our collaboration with McLaren benefits from a shared drive to thrive, fueled by technology and with innovation at its heart; characteristics that will continue to power Allwyn’s global development.”
Robert Chvátal, Allwyn CEO, added: “McLaren is an iconic name in Formula 1, with huge international appeal. It is one of the most successful racing teams in the world – with incredibly exciting drivers. We take pride that wherever Allwyn operates, we create safe and responsible ways for people to play. We know that McLaren, like the wider world of Formula 1, also prioritises safety and responsibility. We look forward to working together to realise our shared ambition of a world full of winning moments.”
