Lando Norris led the way in the third and final free practice before the Singapore Grand Prix ahead of George Russell, while the early minutes of the session were interrupted by a lizard on the track.

After Friday’s FP1 and FP2, where Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris were the fastest with only a tiny gap between them, Saturday began with the last practice session of the Singapore GP, which proved that McLaren and Ferrari will be the teams to beat at Marina Bay.

The session started very slowly with not many drivers coming out of the pits. However, only 10 minutes into FP3, the session was red-flagged not due to a crash but a lizard on track! The marshals worked to move the animal to safety, while providing a funny show for fans and even the drivers.

Later on, Pierre Gasly experienced a close call in his Alpine, where he momentarily lost control and came dangerously close to hitting the wall, but managed to avoid contact just in time.

Alex Albon wasn’t as fortunate as the Frenchman. Replays showed his Williams car brushing against the barriers. He made it back to the garage, where the team checked to see if the car had been damaged as it looked like his front left wheel suffered a big hit.

Max Verstappen, who was the fastest driver on track around the middle of the session, wasn’t as unhappy as yesterday with his RB20, similar to Lewis Hamilton, who finished P7 overall and improved his Friday out-of-top-ten results.

Lando Norris won FP3 with a lap time of 1:29.646, finishing a half-second ahead of his closest rival, George Russell from Mercedes.

Oscar Piastri, driving the second McLaren, came in third fastest, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen placed fourth, but he was almost a second slower than the leader. Yesterday’s FP1 winner Charles Leclerc completed the top 5.

Similar to Friday's first practice session, these daytime conditions didn’t reflect what the drivers will face in qualifying, which will take place at night under the floodlights of the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
