News.gp journalist and a girl with big dreamsReliable sources indicate that Lewis Hamilton will reunite with his former trainer and aide Angela Cullen ahead of his new challenge with Ferrari.
Reports from British media suggest that Lewis Hamilton will soon reunite with his former long-time personal coach, Angela Cullen, as he begins his new chapter with Ferrari.
Cullen first joined Hamilton’s team in 2016 as his physiotherapist but her role then expanded, and the two enjoyed tremendous success, winning four straight championships from 2017 to 2020.
The pair last worked together two years ago before parting ways, with the decision reportedly driven by the growing demands on Cullen’s time, however, they still kept in touch as she was an important part of Hamilton’s F1 journey.
“Angela is living her life right now,” Hamilton said at the time.
“She’s got so many ideas of things she wants to do. We message pretty much every day.
“We are still going to skydive together. We are always going to be in each other’s lives.
“We’re stuck with each other, unfortunately, or fortunately! We’ve been through thick and thin. I am grateful our relationship is as good as it is.
“We’ve probably had one of the longest relationships I would say in the sport. I am incredibly grateful for her, I love her dearly.”
Since their split, Cullen has been working with New Zealand driver Marcus Armstrong in IndyCar, but now she seems to be returning to Hamilton’s side as he prepares for this next stage of his career.
The rumors surrounding their reunion began after both shared photos from the mountains, with Cullen posting an image that featured a flag with Hamilton’s number 44, fueling speculation that they would soon be working together again, with her return being seen as a big boost for Hamilton as he sets his sights on a record-breaking eighth title.
