Today, less than 24 hours after the F1 75 Live event, where all 10 teams revealed their 2025 liveries, Lewis Hamilton got behind the wheel of his new F1 car for the first time at the Fiorano test track during a filming day.

After leaving Mercedes at the end of 2024, the seven-time champion is now getting ready for his first full season with Ferrari.

He has already tested some Ferrari cars in private, but those were older models, making Wednesday’s run in Maranello his first true experience with the Scuderia’s newest contender.

Speaking to the media after his first drive, Hamilton described the experience as “emotional.” When asked to sum up his feelings in one word, he responded in Italian: “Molto bene,” which means “very good.”

Talking more about his first day in the 2025 car, Hamilton said he already feels comfortable at Ferrari. “I’ve only been here a month, and so I’m still acclimatising into a completely new car, a completely new way of working, but everyone’s bent over backwards in this team to make me feel welcome,” he said, quoted by RacingNews365.

“I really feel at home. I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. It feels natural, it feels right.”
