MotoGP is back at the Gran Premio GoPro de Aragón for another race weekend this season. Thursday was eventful in Aragón, with major rider market updates and the championship battle tightening. Here are some of the snippets from media day:

  1. Takaaki Nakagami
Nakagami said it was difficult for him, having good memories with the team, but he knew that the decision had to be made. The Japanese rider admitted that he felt like something was missing and sees this as a new step in his career. Nakagami is excited about his new chapter as a test rider. He admitted that he didn’t want to stop racing, but when he got the deal, he was excited about it. He hopes to race one day as he will be at some races as a wildcard. He mentioned that he might even show up at European testing, not just Asian testing. Nakagami hopes his insights will help develop a more competitive bike.
  2. Fabio Di Giannantonio
Fabio Di Giannantonio is back on the track, and he will even be racing. He said he is ready to race, but will see with the team how he feels and how he can handle challenges like pain and mobility. When asked about Brno returning to the calendar, he expressed his excitement, saying Brno was one of his favorite tracks. He also mentioned that he had his first Moto3 victory there.
  3. Pecco Bagnaia, Jorge Martin, Marc Márquez, Enea Bastianini
The riders were asked how they feel about Thailand starting the calendar and Brno coming back. Bagnaia said it would be strange, but for the first time, they would go to Thailand without the thunderstorm season. Bagnaia himself is excited about Brno being back, as he thinks Brno is one of the best tracks. Martin said that Thailand is a nice track, so it’s okay. He then mentioned that he is excited about Brno. Bastianini said that Thailand will be a challenge as it will be very hot there, so the riders will need to be more prepared for that. He stated that Brno is one of his favorite tracks and he is happy to go there again. Márquez said it is an interesting concept to have some Asian races at the start and some at the end of the calendar.
