News.gp journalist and a girl with big dreamsLewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari marks one of the most exciting moments in F1 history. Take a first look at him wearing the iconic red racing suit and as well as his new helmet.
On Monday morning, the F1 world finally saw something many fans had been waiting for—Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari’s iconic red. Just before his first laps with the team, the Scuderia posted a photo of the seven-time world champion on social media, wearing his new racing suit in the well-known colour.
Hamilton has also revealed the helmet he will use for the 2025 season. The design is mostly bright yellow, with red speckles to match Ferrari’s famous color. His personal logo sits proudly on the top, giving it a unique touch.
Throughout his career, the Briton has used many different helmet designs to show his style and mark special moments. While at Mercedes, his most recent helmet featured a neon yellow base with purple accents, making it easy to spot on the track.
Earlier in his career, Hamilton also used a yellow and green helmet to honor his idol, Ayrton Senna. The tribute showed how much the legendary Brazilian driver inspired him. Now, with Ferrari, Hamilton’s new helmet design is set to become another memorable part of his F1 story.
Hamilton kicked off his Ferrari journey with a visit to the team’s factory in Maranello at the start of the week. He spent Monday and Tuesday getting familiar with the factory and meeting the staff, but finally on Wednesday, he took the next step in his preparations by hitting the track exactly at 9:16 at Fiorano for his debut laps with the team.
