Carlos Sainz has said goodbye to Ferrari in a special event at Fiorano, joined by his father, rally champion Carlos Sainz Sr.

For now, this was Sainz’s last time driving in red as he is getting ready to begin his chapter with Williams next year, where he will partner Alex Albon next year.

During his time with Ferrari, Sainz Jr. participated in 88 races, achieving four wins, six pole positions, 25 podiums, and over 900 points.

At the farewell, both Sainz and his father drove 2022 Ferrari F1 cars around the Fiorano track. It was a unique moment as Sainz Sr. got behind the wheel of a modern F1 car for the first time, while Sainz Jr. revisited the car he drove to his first F1 win at Silverstone in 2022.

The day ended with a special drive in a classic 1955 Ferrari 735 LM, a nod to Sainz Jr.'s race number, 55. The farewell was wrapped up with a group photo featuring Charles Leclerc and team principal Fred Vasseur, who came to honour the Spaniard as well.

With heartfelt moments and memories made, Sainz has left Ferrari but both sides remains open to a possible return in the future.
