Aston Martin has confirmed that Felipe Drugovich will continue as a test and reserve driver for the team during the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The Brazilian, who won the Formula 2 championship in 2022, has held this role for the past two years and remains a key part of the team’s driver development program.

Drugovich joined Aston Martin after his dominant F2 campaign, where he outperformed his nearest rival, Theo Pourchaire, by an impressive 101-point margin. Since then, he has actively contributed to the team’s operations, participating in five FP1 sessions and three post-season tests.

His experience also proved crucial in early 2023 when he substituted for Lance Stroll during pre-season testing, following the Canadian driver's cycling accident.

In 2025, he will share his responsibilities at Aston Martin with Stoffel Vandoorne, another of the team's test and reserve drivers, who balances his role with a full-time seat in Formula E for DS Penske.

In addition to these F1 duties, Drugovich has ventured into endurance racing and is set to compete in the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona.

Drugovich said: "I'm obviously really pleased to be staying with Aston Martin Aramco for a third full season as Test & Reserve Driver.

"There's a lot of momentum at this team, and I'm excited to see what we can achieve together.

"The incredible new facilities at the AMRTC, including the brand-new simulator, demonstrate the ambition here, and I'm committed to being a part of Aston Martin Aramco's long-term success. As always, I want to thank the team for their ongoing support."
