KEY DIFFERENCES TO 2024

The season opener is moving back to Albert Park circuit in Australia after 4 years and compared to 2024 will be held 2 weeks later.

Bahrain, which was a season opener since 2021, will host pre-season testing in February and then round 4 of the 2025 F1 calendar, which will take place in April after Ramadan.

Saudi Arabia was also moved because of Ramadan to an April weekend right after Bahrain.

The Grands Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will revert to being held on Sunday, after both were run as Saturday evening events this season.

Hungary and Belgium have switched places, with Hungary returning to its usual position as the final race before the four-week summer break.

This double-header follows a newly extended break in July, with a three-week gap between the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and Belgium.

The mandatory two-week factory shutdown for teams, as required by regulations, will still occur in August between the races in Hungary and the Netherlands.

The extended breaks seen in October and November this year have been removed, and the races from Azerbaijan in September through to Abu Dhabi in December are now more evenly spaced.

STATS

24 races in total at 24 different circuits will be held in 2024, which marks the milestone of most races during a single season in Formula 1 history.

These races will take place in 21 different countries on 6 continents, hoping to put the last one, which is Africa, on the calendar soon.

6 sprint races. Locations: China, Miami, Belgium, Texas, Brazil and Qatar.

3 triple-headers. First one in April with Japan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Second one then starting in May with Imola, followed by Monaco and ending in Barcelona at the beginning of June. And the thirdone creates the last three races of the season - Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Lastly, next year will also commemorate the 75th anniversary of the series.
